Dear Paul,
Long ago without any news from you.
I do know that you are pretty well (source our dear Cathy).
I also know that you are working about real tinny PTTs: 2 g Solar PTT and even smallers!
As you know, what we started in 2006 is growing fast:
2009:
http://www.roydennis.org/animals/other-birds-2/woodcock/
2011 and on: http://www.federcaccia.org/progetti_ricerche.php?idn=18 and
http://www.scolopax.it/it/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=157&Itemid=289
2012 and on: http://www.woodcockwatch.com/index.php
Lots of woodcock's trackings, lots of 9.5g Solar PTTs...
But we need to go one step further.
Next step: 9 g or 10 g Argos/GPS PTT
Smaller Argos/GPS PTT, nowadsys:
17g Argos/GPS PT T
https://www.microwavetelemetry.com/solar_argos_gps_17g_ptt
Smaller Solar PTT, nowadays:
2 g Solar PTT
https://www.microwavetelemetry.com/solar_2g_ptt
So, let's start dreaming...
(I) With the last Solar PTT of 2g,
(ii) Plus a microprocessor of around 7g,
(ii) You can 'easily' get the 9 or 10 g Argos/GPS PTT
In any case, quite apart from the PTTs, relax and be happy!
Hope to see you I don't know where.
Best regards and a very happy new year from the Basque Country,
joseba
